A favorite with kids, brachiosaurus is one of the most well-known types of dinosaurs. A resin cast of the original brachiosaurus fossil, discovered in western Colorado, is on display at O'Hare airport in Chicago. Despite what was shown in Jurassic Park, it is unlikely that this giant was able to rear up on its hind legs to feed. Up to 85 feet long and weighing about 160,000 pounds, this herbivore is the largest and heaviest land animal ever discovered. For a short while scientists thought brachiosaurus might have spent a lot of time in the water, as shown here, but this theory has been disproved. That doesn't mean you can't look dashing in your dinosaur t-shirt!
