Jupiter - (from the Hubbel Telescope) - This is the king of the Planets! It is the one that got Galileo into trouble with the Pope (along with his jokes about the nuns). With the use of his telescope he was able to discern the four largest moons revolving around the giant planet. This added considerable weight to the Copernican assertion that everything did not revolve around the earth which, of course, it did before Copernicus was born. Epsilon Iridani Planet - This dramatic image was produced by a NASA artisit to depict the first planet proved to exist outside of our own system. Although the planet, which is estimated to be about 1.5 times more massive than Jupiter would not sustain our kind of life, some scientists conjecture that a theoretical moon orbiting could do so. (By the way, this is the neutral sector of space where the "free port" Babylon 5 is located.)

Monocerotis V838 - This variable star is a very recent and somewhat enigmatic discovery by the astronomers in 2002. At first thought to be a nova, it was later judged to be something else, please don't ask what. By the way, the V838 in its name means it's the 838th variable star to be found in the Unicorn constellation (Monocerotis). Remember this, it will come in handy some day. Red Dwarf Planet - This is another beautiful artist's concept of a conjectural planet orbiting a red dwarf star. Four out of every five stars is a red dwarf so there are quite a few of them.
